We are once again having our show along with the CFS show in Houston, Texas. Plan to attend and help with the show, create great friendships, meet with other members of our great club!!!! Bring your Timbrados to be evaluated. We plan to auction off several birds to help off set the cost of the show, so bring your wallets to be able to get some of the best birds in the USA!

Ray Terrazas, USTF judge
Mr Ray Terrazas has been keeping canaries and finches of all kinds for over 20 years but specializes in the classic Spanish Timbrado canary. Since 2003, when he became a member of the United Spanish Timbrado Fanciers (USTF) club, he has received numerous awards and achieved master breeder status in 2004. In 2012, he became a USTF judge following the FOCDE score sheet criteria.
Mr Terrazas has been a board member of the Canary and Finch Society in Houston, TX for several years and currently serves as President. He also serves as the Southern Region Vice-President for the USTF.
Besides being a Spanish Timbrado enthusiast, he is a recreational cyclist and proud father of a beautiful daughter. Mr. Terrazas is a Chemical Engineer by education and has worked as an environmental professional for the oil and gas industry for many years.

Luis Gil from Spain. We are very honored to have Mr. Gil join us for our first FOE show.
Bio on Luis Gil
Judge Luis Gil is a Spanish Timbrado judge for the FOE and the COM. He was trained in Madrid Spain by the three time world champion Don Alvaro Guillen. He has won several Timbrado contests in Spain and has judged numerous international shows as well as world championships for the COM.
Mr. Gil has been instrumental in the development of Timbrado clubs and judges in the USA. Mr. Gil is responsible for the college of judges for the Timbrado in the FOE in Spain.
He has been at the leading front of performing successful crosses with the wild canary and Spanish Timbrados.
Luis Gil is an internationally recognized Timbrado expert.

Results of this year's show
Louis Calvo had the best birds. He walked away with Best of everything. Well deserved. The birds were of outstanding quality and sound. Thanks for all of your hard work, Louis. It shows! By the way.. Louis Calvo donated 2 of his males for auction to help support the cost of the show. Hopefully the gentleman who won them will compete in next year's show!

All it takes is one good bird to wind up being the Best of the show. So never think you don't have enough birds, you've never shown before. I can't tell you how many times we have had a novice walk in and win the show. We all enjoy seeing new exhibitors.
